Bay vs. Fox - Round 4

OK, I love Megan Fox......'s look. She is very very pretty. But, damn.... I'm so sick of that girl and all the nonsense she has to say about everyone she has worked with in the past. It seems that now shes an "A-List actress" she has to bash each film she does... almost as an excuse for her terrible skills as an actress. I mean... most people in the film world have heard the rumors that Michael Bay is rediculous and that he is horrible to work with, but this girl is just not letting it go!

Now she is having a go at Karyn Kusama, director of "Jennifer's Body" saying (in regards to the script); "There are days (on set) when I said 'What the fuck does that mean?'" and then says that Kusama would say 'I dont know but lets shoot it anyways'.

Seems to me, that if Ms. Fox continues like this, no one will want to work with her. (which isnt a problem to me... I wouldnt mind seeing the girl just go into modeling and forget the screen).

Well, Bay has not minded slamming her right back. And this time has done so through his crew members. Who posted a response on Bay's website.

"We've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies," the letter says early on. [Note: the grammar ansd phraseology are weak so I've cleaned up certain portions.] "We [work] in different departments, and can't give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work. One of us touches Megan's panties, another has the often shitty job of pulling Ms. Sourpants out of her trailer, and the last of us is near the Panaflex camera that helps to memorialize the valley girl on film."

Unfortunately this also seems silly due to the poor grammar and sentence structure. But we get the point.

Fox Reprieve?

So, apparently websites Asylum.com, Ask Men, Just a Guy Thing, TheBachelorGuy.com and Double Viking have declared something no one expected of websites for men.... "a Megan Fox media blackout day."
No joke.
Coming this August 4th, Megan Fox will be banned on those sites. Megan Fox has reigned as the most searched actress of the summer and the sites have decided to spend time concentrating on another scarlet. Who this is going to be, lets hope they are creative. As for me, I dont think Fox has worn out her welcome. But for being such a terrible actress (With 2007's "Transformers" being her best showing thus far into the game), I wouldn't mind people picking someone who hasn't completely sold out using only their sex appeal. Maybe a sexy good actress?
(No one is coming to mind....)

Variety is reporting that "Transformers 2: revenge of the Fallen" has grossed the second highest Wednesday through weekend box office of all time. Coming out on Wednesday at 12:01 am, It pulled in 201.2 million over the next five days. This is second only to "The Dark Knight" (though, DK opened on a friday and raked in 203.8 million - just over the
weekend!)

The other film opening this weekend was Cameron Diaz's "My Sister's Keeper" which fell short in fourth place with approx. 12 million. "The Proposal" came in second with "The Hangover" in third.

Film Promotion

Since I started writing this page, I began to take more interest in film as a whole. Note: I studied film, so I always have paid attention to film as a whole- but now a different aspect is catching my attention. Trailers are much more elaborate than they were ten years ago, as film posters have quickly followed suit. Just a few years ago we would get a poster or two for a movie. Now there are posters of each character, and multiples of them- at that. Not to mention, they are much more stylized in appearance and simpler than those of the early 2000s and before.
What do you think of this summers choices? Notice any similarities (focus on characters? color schemes? placements?)? Anything you like/dislike?

New Transformers 2 Trailer

So, it was just yesterday... or three days ago... that I was talking about all the exciting movies coming out this summer.  Now, how ironic is is that a new trailer for Transformers 2  was JUST RELEASED?!?!
Ok.... Summer is approaching... so it isnt that ironic.  But lets talk Michael Bay and Transformers for a moment.

Michael Bay is a unique direcctor... again, no.... Bret Raitner is desperatly trying to follow in his footsteps.  But Michael Bay is a drector who knows the blockbuster.  Do we always like it?  No.  But is Bay is the king of the popcorn movie?
Yes.
You will probably never leave a film done by Michael Bay with thoughts about how complex life is.  No.  You will leave screaming in the parking lot as you walk to your car "And then when the truck was lifted into the air and slammed into a jet.  The explosion was so huge, remember? OMG and then when the Eiffel Tower was bombed and the blast destroyed all of paris!"
Yeah.... Thats Michael Bay.
Anyways, you have to give him props.  The general public loves his movies.  Then again... will they go down in time?  (Have you seen Pearl Harbor more than once?)

But, I do have to say, I love me some Megan Fox.  She is going to be playing Aspen in Michael Turner's (RIP) comic turned film 'Fathom'.   Whether she
is right for a leading role.... I doubt it.  But she makes anyone (man, woman, & gay man and woman) stare at the screen.
Here is the new trailer I was talking about earlier.  Phew!  It sure is easy to get sidetracked!
